BOARD OF DIRECTORS
President: Rima Blackwell"I feel that the message Choice and Consequence is spreading is for a wonderful cause. If people take it to heart it could not only change their life but for some it may save their life. It's important for me to feel that I'm donating my time to an organization that is working to make a difference and C&C is truly making a difference in people's lives." Ms. Rima Blackwell was born in Portland, Maine. Shortly there after she moved to Omaha, Nebraska where she spent the first 10 years of her life. In 1984 her family moved to Seattle, Washington. Upon graduation from Mountlake Terrace High School in 1992 she attended the University of Washington. In 1998 she completed her Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication at the University of Washington. Upon the completion of her degree she accepted a civil service position at Naval Station Everett. She is currently the Director for the Quality Resource Center at Naval Station Everett where she is currently responsible for administering quality management, training, professional development programs, developing surveys, business metrics, and strategic planning. Rima has recently received her Master's Degree from the University of Washington. In her free time she enjoys the outdoors and collecting antiques. Vice President: Jana Kurrle "I have a passion for educating youth about the negative effects of nicotine, alcohol, illegal and prescription drug abuse. I believe in encouraging parents to talk to their kids from an early age about alcohol, tobacco and other drugs. I desire to make a positive difference in my community." Jana grew up in Seattle and was part of the 1st set of triplets born at Northwest Hospital in Seattle. She has been with the Mountlake Terrace Police Department as a Records Specialist for the last 5 years and in a support position with various Law Enforcement agencies in Snohomish County since 1989. Jana worked as a Reserve Police Officer for the cities of Edmonds and Lynnwood. She has a Law & Justice AA degree from Shoreline Community College. She has a son (10), Conrad, and her family makes their home in Everett.
Treasurer: Deborah Parker“I was very honored to be asked to participate on the Choice & Consequence Board. This program has inspired many of our Native American children to closely examine and understand the dynamics of their bodies and the importance of how they maintain their health. Our goal is to be healthy for the next generations to come.” Deborah

Human Resources Consultant: Barbara OtonicarBarbara Otonicar has 20 years experience as a Human Resources Professional in the High Technology Industry. She has served as Director of Human Resources for such companies as Attachmate Corporation, Traveling Software (Laplink), and Quintessent Communications. She has also worked as a Training Consultant in the areas of leadership, management development, and Total Quality Management for such companies as Boeing, John Fluke Mfg., Virtual Vision, Bell Industries, and Sahalee Country Club. She has served on Edmonds Community College's Electronic Technician Training Advisory Board, Everett School District's Vocational Advisory Board, and the Governor's Task Force on Vocational/Technical Education. She was named Washington State's Young Career Woman by The Washington Federation of Business and Professional Women in 1986 and is currently serving as 2nd Vice President for the Redmond Business and Professional Women. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Washington State University with a degree in History and Secondary Education and has served as a substitute teacher. Currently she has her own company as a cruise consultant and HR consultant. Barbara served as past President of the Board and continues to be actively involved from her new home in Chesapeake, Virginia. |
